Today I went to Amityville which is an at risk school district. Most of the programs that I have helped with the kids have had a good amount of experience using computers, But in this case it was the opposite. Some of the kids did not know where the arrow keys were let alone the power button. Two of the kids could not speak english at all, But suprisingly through all of that we made it quite far in the first class. I think that this type of learning is important because it doesn't matter who you are or what you like coding is for everyone.
